Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
Maintaining Professional Competence through SAINT and SPBNDT
The SAINT Professional Body for Non-Destructive Testing (SPBNDT) requires all designated individuals to participate in a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme to maintain and renew their professional designation. The CPD system ensures that NDT Operators and Technicians remain competent, up to date with industry standards, and actively engaged in professional growth within the Non-Destructive Testing industry.
The CPD programme operates on an annual cycle of one (1) year, which corresponds with the validity period of the designation certificate issued by SAINT/SPBNDT. Each CPD cycle begins on the anniversary date of the individual’s designation, as indicated on the designation certificate. This date also marks the expiry date of the designation, at which point the individual must apply for renewal and demonstrate that the required CPD points have been achieved for that year.
