Eish has some tips for RT:
Don’t leave numerous unexposed films lying open while processing, keep them covered until ready for processing. Someone who switches on the dark room white light will ruin your day.
Write the date of packing onto a cassette as well as the film type.
Keep unexposed film in its original packaging.
When cutting and preparing Rollpac, don’t use the first 20-30cm. It might have been inadvertently exposed to light during previous cutting.
Ensure that all developer chemicals are mixed correctly prior to manual developing.
